Kevin Jansen was approached by O’Neill surfing to direct a series of shorts telling the story of professional surfer Jordy Smith, and how his 2020 deviated drastically when Covid-19 hit and the World Surf League was postponed for the year.

What resulted were the following three short films that became some of O’Neills most viewed content in recent years.
